Panhandle Quarter Horse Association is excited to offer Youth Scholarships, which will begin being awarded in Spring 2024. PQHA will award annual cash scholarships in the amount of $500.00 to youth & young adults that meet the following eligibility criteria and submit a complete application.
Scholarship Criteria
- Applicants must have a current American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) or AQHA membership.
- Applicants must be a graduating high-school junior or senior or be in their first year at a college, university, vocational or similar secondary education program/certification.
- Applicants must have:
- Volunteered at least four (4) hours to the PQHA in the last year and participated in one (1) PQHA show in the last year, or
- Volunteered at least eight (8) hours to the PQHA in the last year.
- Applicants must have served at least four (4) hours of community service in the last year.
- Applicants must submit a complete application including verification of volunteer hours, verification of community service, and one letter of recommendation by the due date.
Scholarship applications are due March 1, 2025. Scholarship recipient(s) will be notified by May 2025.
